from the Sanctuary there is a wonderful view... Portofino, Chiavari, Sestri Levante... the entire Gulf of Tigullio!

Already in the 12th century there was a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Mercy. The frescos decorating the walls are by Teramo Piaggio, a painter of 16th century, Genoese school. Simply beautiful is the large fresco the "Last Judgement" on the inside wall of the facade,attributed to Luca Cambiaso, dated 1550.
